What to launch when you have nothing new to launch
Back on the blog I wrote on business resolutions for 2020, I suggested setting the resolution to launch at least one thing in 2020.
But, I know that a lot of you feel like you don’t have anything to launch yet. Maybe you’re working away on creating a course in the background, maybe you’re still working on the idea of something bigger to launch, that’s totally fine.
Today, I’m sharing 3 ideas for things you can launch when you feel like you have nothing new to launch.
What to launch idea 1: An existing product or service.
Relaunching something old can be a great little cash flow booster into your business.
I feel like far too often, we assume that our audience knows what we sell or what we do, so we don’t really do a big push for new clients or customers.
How would I relaunch an existing product or service? I’d make it a limited-time launch, just like if I were launching something new. I’d spend 30-60 days consistently publishing content in the lead up to the big launch, and then I’d have a week where if they purchase or sign up as a client during that week, they get a certain bonus.
You can also use this method with a flash sale, but don’t do that too often as it can devalue your products or services if you’re perceived to be always offering discounts.
What to launch idea 2: Someone else’s product
An affiliate launch is a great way to help your audience solve a problem they might be struggling with, but that you don’t solve yourself.
For example, last year, I was an affiliate of Amy Porterfield’s Digital Course Academy launch, which she runs in September every year. The content in her course is SUPER relevant to my audience, as it teaches you in-depth how to create courses and run webinars – whereas my zone of genius is more in the pre-launch and launch strategy. So it really complements what I teach.
For every person who I referred and who purchased DCA, I got a commission. The commission will vary, depending on the product you’re launching, but some can be very lucrative.
What to launch idea 3: A free challenge
People LOVE challenges – provided it’s easy enough for them to stick to and it gives them lots of wins along the way.
Launching a free challenge is a great way to grow your audience, nurture them and, if you wish to, sell to them at the end. By the time they get to the end of the challenge, they’ve had contact with you for however many days in a row, which means that they’re likely primed and ready to buy your next offer.
Yes, lots of people will drop off along the way – after all, how many challenges have you signed up for and never completed? But, the ones who stick with you to the end will become loyal audience members and maybe even raving fans.
