Content marketing is magic for your business, but the big struggle can be coming up with content marketing ideas all the time. Here are 5 free tools for content marketing ideas that your audience actually cares about.
5 tools for content marketing ideas
Content marketing is pure magic – I’ve built my entire business around content. But, the problem with content marketing is that you have to keep coming up with new content ideas.
And, not just any old ideas either – they have to be ideas that your audience is interested in. Topics that they want to read about, listen to or watch.
Plus, you want to showcase your expertise and show your audience that they can trust you – so your content marketing topics are pretty important.
Here are some free tools you can use to come up with ideas for your content marketing.
Ubersuggest
Ubersuggest is a free SEO keyword research tool. My favourite feature is where it gives you keyword suggestions when you type in a particular keyword.
So, for example, if I type in “Instagram” as a keyword, it’ll give me suggested topics for what people are searching that’s related to Instagram.
It’s a great tool if you’re creating blog content and hoping to increase organic search engine traffic to your website. You can also use it for keyword inspiration on any of your website pages, so it’s a handy tool to have in your back pocket.
The Instagram Stories Question Sticker
The best way to find out what content your audience wants to see more of is to go straight to the source – to just ask them! The Instagram Stories question sticker allows you to ask your followers exactly what they want to see.
You might word this as “What blog topics do you want to see?” Or even “What are you struggling with?”
This way you can help them directly with the things they’re struggling with and they’ll feel like you’ve given them so much value.
Hubspot’s blog topic generator
Hubspot's tool is a pretty simple one – you type in a couple of words related to what you do, and it’ll spit out some blog post title suggestions.
Even if you’re not creating blog posts, you can still use these as inspiration for your content.
You do have to give Hubspot your email address to unlock the full 250 blog post topics, but I think it’s a fair exchange!
Quora
Quora is a website where people can ask questions, and the public can answer them. It’s fantastic for content marketing ideas, because you can see exactly what questions people are asking about your area of expertise.
And, if people are asking their questions on Quora, you can bet that there are people searching for these things on Google. So it’s a great tool for increasing your organic search engine traffic too.
Facebook Groups
With SO many Facebook Groups out there at the moment, there’s bound to be one related to your area of expertise. And, similar to Quora, you can have a look at what questions people are asking, and base your content around this.
For example, I often pop into various business groups on Facebook and search for topics like Instagram, just to see what people are asking about, or to see if people are spreading any myths that need to be busted.
So, there you have it – 5 tools to help you generate content marketing ideas.
