A huge part of successful Instagram marketing is having a drool-worthy, beautiful Instagram feed. But, did you know that getting a beautiful Instagram feed is actually easier than you think? Today, I’m sharing some of my favourite tools for putting together a beautiful Instagram feed and making your Instagram content look spot-on. The best part? They won’t break the bank!
6 tools for a beautiful Instagram feed
So many people dream of having the perfectly put together, beautiful Instagram feed, but they don’t actually realise that it’s actually really easy to do. In this blog post, I’m sharing 6 of the best Instagram tools to help you plan your Instagram content, create stunning Instagram posts, edit your Instagram photos and, above all, curate a beautiful Instagram feed.
INSTAGRAM MARKETING TOOL #1: PLANOLY
Planoly is an Instagram scheduling tool that allows you to plan your posts in advance and preview what your Instagram feed will look like, so you can delete things or shuffle them around to make sure it all looks cohesive. It also allows you to schedule posts in advance and it will auto post them for you so you can save a heap of time by batching and scheduling your Instagram content.
You can save different hashtag sets, so it’s just a matter of copying and pasting them into your captions.
Unfortunately, they don’t let you schedule hashtags in the first comment of your posts, but most other scheduling apps don’t do this either, due to Instagram API restrictions.
Other than that it’s a really great Instagram scheduling app. Click here to get a free trial of Planoly.
Creative Market is my favourite place for sourcing pre-made, absolutely beautiful Instagram templates, as well as stock photos, illustrations, fonts and virtually anything else you could ever need for creating your own Instagram designs.
Here are my favourite Instagram templates of 2018.
INSTAGRAM MARKETING TOOL #3: VSCO CAM
VSCO Cam is my favourite Instagram photo editing app. There are a lot of these apps out there, but I honestly think VSCO is one of the best. I subscribed to their premium option, VSCO X, because it gives you premium filters and a whole host of editing tools that you wouldn’t otherwise have. However, even their basic version is pretty amazing!
My only tip is this: Never use the filters at full strength, unless that’s the look you’re going for. The big trend on Instagram lately has been towards natural-looking photos, rather than heavily filtered ones.
Once you’ve finished editing your photos in VSCO, simply export them into your camera roll, upload them to Instagram and voila! Beautiful Instagram photos.
To download VSCO Cam on iPhone, click here. Or, if you’re on Android, simply search for VSCO in the Google Play store.
INSTAGRAM MARKETING TOOL #4: A COLOR STORY
A Color Story is my other favourite photo editing app. I tend to alternate between VSCO and A Color Story, depending on what I’m editing and what I want the finished result to look like.
If the look and feel of your Instagram feed is colourful, girly or just plain fun, then you have to try this app. They have a great range of filters, and there is the option to purchase more filter packs. I recommend picking one or two filters and using them for all of your Instagram photos, just to maintain some consistency throughout your Instagram feed.
A Color Story has some fun effects that you can add to your photos too – like light leaks, bokeh and colour fog. You can create some amazing Instagram photos – just search the hashtag #acolourstory to see what other people have created with the app.
To download it on iPhone, click here. If you have an Android, you can search for it in the Google Play store.
INSTAGRAM MARKETING TOOL #5: CANVA
Canva is pretty popular these days as it’s free and it makes simple graphic design accessible to anyone. This is one free Instagram tool I recommend that you add to your toolkit right now.
Their range of free Instagram templates is broad, so you can literally pick a template, change the colours and fonts to match your brand, drag and drop a photo into it, save it and upload it to Instagram.
It’s also a great app for formatting your free ebooks and cheat sheets. I definitely recommend checking it out. For the desktop version, click here. To download it on iPhone, click here.
INSTAGRAM MARKETING TOOL #6: A DESIGN KIT
The last Instagram design tool on my list is A Design Kit, which is created by the same people who made A Colour Story.
It’s super easy to use, and you can make quote graphics on the fly. It works really well for Instagram Story graphics as well.
This app is pretty new but I’m already loving it. To download the iPhone app, click here. Or, if you have an Android, search A Design Kit in the Google Play store. Again, I think they have an Android version.
