Let's talk about the problem with done for you launch plans, or copy and paste launch plans. Or whatever you want to call them, the ones that you probably have been seeing on Instagram or Facebook ads for that are $27 and give you everything you need to do for your launch in a step-by-step checklist or Trello board or all of the different ones. I see them all the time myself.

Why a done-for-you launch plan is not always the solution
Don't get me wrong, I love that they are pushing people to launch and to take action on their launch because planning is a huge hurdle towards getting your launch out there. The problem is that they aren't covering the entire picture of your launch. Firstly, because they are done for you, it assumes that your business is copy and paste and that your audience is copy and paste. It doesn't necessarily encourage you to dive deeper into the problem you're solving for your audience and who your audience is, so that you can formulate a strategy around it rather than just doing what the plan says.
They tend to barely skim the surface of the strategy that's required in a launch. Now, you don't have to have a strategy, but your strategy is what will create that profit. Your launch plan will get you the launch, as long as you take action, but your strategy is what will get you the profit. And that is the entire reason why Launch Magic exists. I remember when I closed doors in my May launch for Launch Magic and I always survey the people who didn't buy after a launch. And a lot of people said that they had bought a cheap launch plan as an alternative.
Now, Launch Magic and these cheaper launch plans, like the done for you launch plans, they're not the same. I don't consider those competitors because Launch Magic is teaching you how to DIY your strategy, your plan, and it's teaching you how to take action on that plan. Now, I'm a big believer in DIYing your strategy rather than using somebody else's strategy, because nobody knows your business and your audience as well as you do.
Now, the other problem with copy and paste launch plans is that they tell you what to do, but you still have to go out and do it. And I know that sounds like the easy part, taking action, but it's actually not. If you are like most entrepreneurs, you'll find there's a gap between knowing what you need to do and actually getting out there and doing it. And this gap is filled with behaviours like procrastination, perfectionism, over-complicating, overthinking, all of these self-sabotaging behaviours that get in the way of executing your launch.
Now, copy and paste launch plans or done for you launch plans, whatever you want to call them, at least the ones that I've seen, they all ignore the mindset piece of your launch completely. But it's just as important as strategy and it's just as important as a solid plan, because if you believe that your launch is going to fail, it's going to fail. If you believe that it's going to fail, you are going to be taking action from a place of fear or you're not going to be taking action at all, and you're going to create the self-fulfilling prophecy of failure.
Only by working on your mindset in your launch do you start to shrink that knowing-doing gap and you start to take aligned action on your launch. And that's one thing that I've realized was missing in the past two rounds of Launch Magic. I wasn't going deep enough into the mindset piece. My students had all of the tools that they needed to strategize and plan, they knew exactly what to do and how to do it, but they were getting stuck on the execution side because they were getting in their heads about it all and they were over-complicating and they were making their launches a lot harder than they needed to be, which is why when I tweak this next round of Launch Magic, I'm adding a huge element of mindset into it as well.
Now, if you are a previous Launch Magic student, as always, you'll have access to the next round, you'll have access to all of the live calls and you'll have access to the new prerecorded modules. Rather than teaching it live this time round, I'm actually teaching the content prerecorded and releasing one module per week. And then, instead of the live lesson, we're having two live Q&A and mindset calls each week. In those Q&A and mindset calls, I'm going to be sharing the mindset piece. I'm going to be sharing how you can work through that procrastination, the perfectionism, the over-complicating, the overthinking that shows up in your launch so that you are getting everything you need to cover the strategy, the planning and the executing side of your launch, so that you can have that profitable launch you've been planning and dreaming of.
Now, personally, in my own business, I have invested more than $50,000 into mindset coaching, courses, trainings, and it's made a world of difference to how I run my business, how I run my launches, how I run my life as a whole. And I'm really excited to share it with my next round of Launch Magic students when we kick off at the end of November.
