If you're not launching, then you still need to be selling. Live launching is a way to get things done in a relatively short time frame so that you can have some time and space instead of the constant sell. In today's episode, I'm sharing how live launching has created so much more freedom and ease in my business compared to when I was doing 1:1 client work.
– What live launching really means for you, your business, your sales and your audience.
– How live launching can help you to create more freedom in your business structure.
– The consequences of NOT live launching your offer/s.
In today’s episode, we’re diving into how launching has created freedom and ease in my business, something that might seem counterintuitive given the stressful reputation launches often have.
The Misconception Around Launching
Many entrepreneurs are shying away from launching, opting instead for evergreen models where products or services are always available. They do this because they fear the stress associated with launching. However, I’ve found that launching can actually lead to more freedom and structure in your business—if done right.
Structure Creates Freedom
One of the main reasons launching works for me is the structure it provides. I used to run a business that was anything but structured. I had retainer clients, monthly deliverables, and client projects that kept me constantly tied to my desk. Even with a small team, I was still very hands-on and found it hard to disconnect from work. My “a-ha” moment came in 2017 when I was replying to a client email in front of the Eiffel Tower. I realized that despite having location freedom, I didn’t have true freedom in my business.
Over the years, I started letting go of clients and focused on creating offers that aligned with my goals. Through trial and error—launching, refining, and sometimes retiring offers—I eventually built a suite of products that I can live-launch a few times a year. The rest of the time, I have the flexibility to step away, knowing my business is still running smoothly.
What Is Launching, Really?
Launching is more than just the moment your product or service becomes available. It’s a 60 to 90-day process leading up to that moment, where you nurture your audience and prepare them to buy. This period is followed by a limited-time promotional window where you’re actively selling the offer. After the launch, you can step back and relax, knowing you’ve done the heavy lifting.
Why Selling Consistently Matters
Even if you’re not launching, you still have to sell consistently in your business. Launching, however, allows you to concentrate your efforts into a specific timeframe, giving you the freedom to take breaks in between. For example, when I launch Launch Magic, I do it twice a year, teach it over 12 weeks, and then archive the community until the next round. This structure prevents burnout and ensures I’m not always in promotion mode.
The Beauty of Repeating the Process
The more you launch, the easier it becomes. You start to develop a formula that works for you and your team, making each subsequent launch smoother and more predictable. This repeatable process brings in a reliable cash injection without the constant pressure to be “on” all the time.
Conclusion
If you’ve been hesitant about launching, I hope this episode shifts your perspective. Launching isn’t the stressful monster it’s made out to be—it can actually be the key to creating more freedom and ease in your business.
