Thinking of joining Amy Porterfield's DCA? I'm here to share my Digital Course Academy review and honest experience with you.
Digital Course Academy is a 12-week program that helps online business owners and entrepreneurs turn their knowledge and know-how into a digital course that will generate consistent revenue through live and evergreen webinar launches.
The program shares a no-fluff, step by step framework to guide you through the entire course creation journey – from idea to launch and beyond.
Amy Porterfield is hands-down the course creation queen. All hail Queen Amy!
She has over 12 years of experience creating online courses, first for Tony Robbins and now for her own business.
Amy’s own digital courses have generated over $15 million dollars to date. She’s been in the trenches for multiple years, creating and launching over 9 digital courses to date. Many have been home runs (such as the January 2019 launch of DCA that hit $3.5M), and of course, in the early years, a few were complete failures. Which means she knows what works and what doesn’t.
But most importantly, Amy knows how to teach what works. She’s known for her patient, personable, step-by-step style that does not assume anything, and she delivers the necessities you need to know in order to achieve.
Registration for Digital Course Academy opens in September 2020. Click here to join the waitlist for my bonuses when doors open.
Look, I know that Digital Course Academy isn't the cheapest course-creation program out there. I know this because I tried a handful before signing up to Amy Porterfield's old course creation program, Courses That Convert, back in 2017.
I joined from a place where many of you are today – I had several incomplete course projects under my belt, no idea how to teach so that my students would get results, and absolutely no clue how to deal with the techy stuff.
I followed the program to a tee and, as a result, my first ever course launch was a 5-figure launch – and my email list didn't even have 1,000 people on it.
So, when Amy Porterfield launched Digital Course Academy earlier this year, I knew I had to become one of the founding students. I committed to creating a second course, followed the course to a tee and had another hugely successful course launch.
Since then, I've followed Amy's framework to build and scale my digital course business to 7-figures. All while only working 25 hours a week.
To answer your question: Is Digital Course Academy worth the investment? Heck YES.
Naturally, you're going to ask whether Digital Course Academy is right for you. After all, you've probably started a few other courses with the best intentions – and now they're gathering dust on your virtual bookshelf, with no results to show for them.
Digital Course Academy is not one of those courses.
If you're someone who likes to collect courses but never takes action, this course isn't for you. Amy's teaching style is very actionable, meaning that you'll be creating a course as you progress through the program.
Digital Course Academy serves budding online business owners as well as more seasoned entrepreneurs who are looking to scale.
If you're looking to shift from one-on-one client-based work to a scalable business model that generates consistent income, Digital Course Academy is right for you.
Digital Course Academy is right for you if you're willing to take action and invest the time and energy required to create an online course. Yes, creating an online course does take time and energy – but it is oh so worth it when it's complete.
One of the AH-mazing things about Amy Porterfield's Digital Course Academy is that she's designed it in a way that helps you build your audience while you're building your online course – so that when you're ready to launch, you have a list of email subscribers ready and primed to buy from you.
That said, Amy does recommend you have an email list with 250 people on it before joining Digital Course Academy, because she doesn't teach the basics of starting an email list from scratch inside Digital Course Academy.
The answer to this is yes, and no.
While Amy does cover some list-building inside Digital Course Academy, it's not super in-depth. However, if you already have some knowledge of how to build your email list, you'll be just fine!
If you're wondering what's inside Digital Course Academy, here's the full run-down:
Plus, I'm throwing in some exclusive bonuses worth $1,995 if you enrol using this link
BONUS 1: 6 x group mastermind calls ($767 value)
Each fortnight you and the other legends who enrol in DCA via my link will meet on Zoom to:
Last year, students found listening to other people’s questions to be the most helpful part, so even if you don’t think you’ll have a question to ask (or are more the sit-back-and-soak-it-all-in type), these calls will help you make sense of everything, offer fresh insights, and give you the support you need to follow through!
BONUS 2: 6 x group co-working sessions ($347 value)
Every fortnight, we’ll jump onto Zoom for 2 hours, set a goal and work through it, Pomodoro style, until it’s done.
This way, you’ll be held accountable.
This way, you’ll be able to work alongside others who get it.
This way, you’ll keep prioritising your course — even after the initial excitement wears off.
This way, your course makes it out into the world, where it can impact your life (and your students’ lives!) for the better.
BONUS 3: Facebook Ads That Flourish ($437 value)
So, you've heard that Facebook Ads can expand your reach, boost your impact and scale your sales. But where the heck do you start?
Inside my signature Facebook Ads course, we dive deep into how to:
If you're wondering what the support inside Digital Course Academy is like, you don't need to stress – inside Digital Course Academy, you have access to a first-class Facebook Group of like-minded course creators who are also completing DCA.
If you have any questions at all, all you need to do is ask inside the Digital Course Academy Facebook Group and you'll usually get a response in a few hours – if not minutes – from someone who has been in your shoes.
Amy also organises Facebook Lives inside the group throughout the 12 weeks, so that you can get her valuable advice.
If you're someone who thrives in a group environment and would love a little more support completing Digital Course Academy, I cannot stress how helpful you'll find my group mastermind and co-working bonus. In addition to the Digital Course Academy support you get from Amy and Team Porterfield, you'll also have access to me via a Zoom group call each week for 12 weeks.
Once your initial 12 weeks in the DCA program is up, the Facebook Group will be archived and all Digital Course Academy students are moved to Amy's other Facebook Group – The Insider's Club.
If you're worried that you'll lose out on support after the 12 weeks is over, you don't need to be.
The Insider's Club is made up of everyone who has done one of Amy's courses – including past Digital Course Academy alumni. Yes, I'm in there too!
This means that you not only have the support of your peers, but also the support of those who are ahead of you in the course creation game. And, of course, Amy still goes live in this group once a month to answer your questions!
YES. This is a big part of why I signed up for Digital Course Academy – because it teaches you how to run a live launch using webinars, just like how Amy launches her own courses.
Amy also teaches you how to put your course launch on evergreen, which means that you can automate your webinars so that you're selling your courses without having to go live to your audience all the time.
Amy's signature webinar framework inside DCA was a game-changer for me. Before completing DCA, my webinars were jam-packed with content, leaving my attendees feeling overwhelmed. Guess what happens when your webinar attendees are overwhelmed? They definitely don't buy!
I was too – don't worry! But, each time you do a webinar, it gets a little less scary and a little more fun. I promise.
With Amy's webinar tips and lessons inside DCA, you'll enter the webinar room feeling (relatively!) calm, organised and excited to hang out with your audience, live and in person.
Very fair question. And, the short answer is this: My DCA bonuses give you the most personal support and guidance throughout the DCA program.
I know that you're worried you won't complete the program, that you'll get stuck on the techy bits, or that nobody will buy your course. I get it – I've been there too!
That's why, when you enrol in Digital Course Academy through this link, you'll have access to our 12-week course creation mastermind and co-working. Inside the mastermind, we'll workshop your course creation challenges and I'll be your personal guide through the course creation process – so that you too can have your first 5- or 6-figure course launch.
Disclaimer: Yes, I am an affiliate of Digital Course Academy. However, I was recommending Amy's programs to my audience LONG before I became an affiliate and I genuinely believe in the results you can achieve following Digital Course Academy. When you purchase via my affiliate link, you get over $1,995 worth of DCA bonuses and I get a commission from Amy. Pretty win-win, am I right?
I hope you've enjoyed this Digital Course Academy review, and I hope to see you inside my 12-week group mastermind.
I help online entrepreneurs just like you launch and relaunch their online courses, memberships, digital products and podcasts to reach more people, grow their audience and become the go-to geniuses in their industry
